What Is This Session About?

Many organisations invest heavily in training, yet still face challenges in translating learning into workplace performance. This intermediate-level programme equips adult educators and learning professionals with the capability to design more sophisticated SBL experiences that develop decision-making, not just knowledge acquisition.

Building on foundational concepts, participants learn how to create branching, workplace-relevant scenarios where learners actively make decisions and experience realistic consequences in a safe environment. This leads to stronger engagement, improved critical thinking, and more effective transfer of learning to the job.
Participants will develop a working scenario prototype tailored to their organisational context, enabling immediate application. For organisations, this means faster implementation of more impactful training interventions that better prepare employees for complex, real-world challenges. Unlike introductory SBL courses that focus on single-path scenarios, this programme equips participants to design multi-stage decisions with delayed and cascading consequences.
